We are now accepting registrations for our camp on May 19th. We are looking forward to our camp. Come learn drills from some of the best athletes around. Clinicians include former Clemens great and Washington Redskin AJ Johnson. We will also have former teammates of Andre from Texas State serving as clinicians. Our camp directors are Duane Dunkley and Moton Hopkins of the Montreal Alouettes and Randolph HS.

We want to thank all of you who submitted applications for The 34 Scholarship and The Andre Terrell Booker Scholarship. We need the following an email address where we can contact you and a letter of acceptance to your school of choice. Email your email information to info@the34foundation.org and if you can scan the letter you can include that with your email information . If you do not have the scan capabilities, please mail your letter of acceptance to us at P.O. Box 40 Schertz, TX 78154. We will be announcing the scholarship awardees at our 1st annual award dinner on May 5th.

Andre Booker & The 34 Foundation Scholarship Deadlines

Our deadline for our scholarships are April 4th. One of our major requirements is to have a letter of acceptance to a trade school, college or university in your packet. Without the letter of acceptance your application will not be considered for our scholarships. The deadline is next Wednesday April 4th.

University of Houston- Victoria Guarantee

I talked to the representative of UH-Victoria at a mini-college fair. This is a good deal for freshmen and sophomores.

Here are the criteria the student must have a 2.0 GPA. A new UHV frosh or soph. Texas resident from outside Victoria pursuing an undergraduate degree, eligible to receive federal, state, and /or university aid and taking classes on campus. If your family income is $50,000 or less all of the tuition and fees will be paid for by federal, state and university aid while obtaining a bachelor’s degree. If your parents income is between $50-90,000 then half of the costs will be met.

Summer School Programs at UT

The McCombs Business School at UT is again hosting a summer school program for HS underclassmen. It is a 6 day session in June. The program sections range from Accounting & Management. Subiendo Academy at The University of Texas McCombs Business School

This is a very good opportunity for young Hispanic students to attend a week at UT.
There is no cost to attend the week long academy. This year the session runs from 17- 21 June 2012.
